NCCE Empowers Women’s Group of the Church of Pentecost to Prioritise the Rights and Well-Being of the Girl Child

The European Partnership for Democracy, in collaboration with the NCCE, held an interactive session with the Women’s Group of the Church of Pentecost at the Akweteyman CoP Worship Centre. The engagement, under the Women and Youth in Democracy (WYDE) civic engagement project, aimed to empower women to take an active role in societal development and advocate for the education of the girl child.

The Commission Secretary of the NCCE, Ms. Lucille Hewlett Annan (Esq.), led the interactive session. She encouraged the women to prioritise girl-child education as a means of fostering long-term societal progress. She emphasised the importance of women becoming proactive in creating opportunities for themselves and their communities, urging them to stand up and take initiative in various aspects of life.

The engagement underscored the critical role of women in shaping the future by ensuring that young girls receive quality education and guidance. Participants expressed their appreciation for the session, acknowledging the need to instill values of self-reliance and determination in both themselves and future generations. #nccegh #ncce
