NCCE Educates Amasaman Okada Riders on Sanitation, Environmental Governance and Cybercrime

The Ga West Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has engaged commercial motorcycle (Okada) riders at Amasaman in a civic education and sensitization program focused on environmental governance, sanitation, and the dangers of cybercrime.

The program sought to promote responsible citizenship by encouraging participants to contribute to a clean and sustainable environment while protecting themselves and others from cybercrime and other online threats.

Facilitators, Mr. Joseph Majoub and Mrs. Evelyn Aniakwah, educated the riders on their civic responsibilities, stressing the importance of maintaining good sanitation practices and safeguarding the environment. They urged participants to adopt responsible waste disposal habits and actively support efforts to keep their communities clean.

The facilitators also highlighted the growing threat of cybercrime, cautioning the riders against engaging in fraudulent online activities. They encouraged participants to use digital platforms responsibly and remain vigilant against cyber scams and other internet-related crimes.

The engagement forms part of the NCCE Ga West Municipal Office's ongoing efforts to empower citizens with knowledge that promotes good governance, environmental sustainability, improved sanitation, and responsible digital citizenship.
