NCCE, Assin Foso Extends Citizenship Week campaign to Eagles Next Community School

The Assin Foso Municipal Office of the NCCE, in commemoration of this year's Citizenship Week Celebration, has engaged students of Eagles Next Community School on the theme, “Upholding the Constitution in the Digital Age: Our Collective Responsibility.”

In his presentation, an officer at the Municipal Office of the Commission, Michael Sagoe, urged pupils to reject fake news and cyberbullying, encouraging them instead to harness the internet for learning and completing homework.

He also called their attention to the fact that Ghana’s laws regulate online activities, cautioning them against posting indiscriminately or sharing personal information such as phone numbers with strangers.

Beyond digital responsibility, he emphasised the importance of mutual respect, advising pupils to desist from unwarranted teasing of one another. He further admonished them to take pride in their environment by keeping their school compound clean, stressing that as future leaders, discipline and responsibility must begin with everyday actions.

Headmaster of Eagles Next Community School, whose presence graced the occasion, expressed gratitude to the NCCE for the vital education, noting that such initiatives equip young learners with the values needed to thrive both online and offline.
