This year’s Green Ghana Day was a great moment and an opportunity for the NCCE to connect with its Civic Education Club members at the Senior High level.
In Accra, just as it was the story of our Regional and District offices, Chairperson of NCCE, Ms. Kathleen Addy observed the day with Civic Education Club members and Patrons at Accra Girls Senior High and the Achimota School.
Ms. Addy, together with CEC Executives and CEC Patrons planted seedlings to commemorate the Green Ghana Day.
The Commission’s active participation in the Green Ghana Day is inspired by Article 41(k) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, which charges every citizen to protect and safeguard the environment.
The act of planting trees, in the view of the Commission, can help protect and safeguard our environment.
The NCCE's strategy for this year " Let’s Go Planting" is to involve young citizens in Greening Ghana and allow them to lead the Commission’s environmental governance campaign.
