Ledzokuku NCCE partners complementary education agency to promote peace

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has heightened its public education on elections, peace, and prevention of violence in the lead-up to the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

Complementary Education Agency, a Civil Society Organisation, tapping into these activities being rolled out by the Commission, has thus partnered the Ledzokuku Office of the NCCE to engage various socio-economic groups within the Municipality.

The event, which took place at the Teshie Branch of Christ Apostolic Church International witnessed speakers from both the Ledzokuku Office of the Commission as well as Complementary Education Agency lay emphasis on the relevance of elections as a tenet of democracy.

The participants were urged not to compromise their inalienable right to be kin makers of the country through voting to elect who leads the state and who represents them on the floor of Parliament.

A sideline interaction with some of the participants brought to bear people who have been filled with lots of information, which they can pass on to their colleagues at their various workplaces and in their communities.

The team from the Ledzokuku Office of NCCE additionally set out to embark on door-to-door engagements with individuals and groups as a sensitization effort to spread the message across the length and breadth of the Municipality.
