The Sekyere Central District Directorate of the NCCE in the Ashanti Region organised an interactive session with students of the Ghana Muslim Mission Senior High School, Beposo, focusing on civic responsibility and social media usage.
The programme, held under the theme “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility,” explored the pivotal role of youth in shaping the nation’s future. A sub-theme, “The Do’s and Don’ts of Social Media,” addressed the impact of online behaviour on personal and societal well-being.
Benefor Ofori Michael, Assistant Director at the NCCE, delivered a compelling presentation on the importance of responsible social media usage, including the need to avoid misinformation, cyberbullying, and other harmful online activities.
The session emphasised the collective responsibility of citizens, particularly the youth, to uphold national values and contribute positively to Ghana’s development, both online and offline. This engagement forms part of the NCCE’s ongoing efforts to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world responsibly while fostering a sense of patriotism and accountability.
