Garu NCCE Promotes Peaceful Coexistence and National Cohesion

The Garu District office of the NCCE in the Upper East Region has engaged citizens on peaceful coexistence and national cohesion as part of its 2025 activities under the operational theme, “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility.”

Mr. Akolgo Samuel, the District Director, led the team to visit schools, communities, and identifiable groups, among others, to engage them on the importance of active civic engagement. He urged citizens to embrace constructive dialogue and collaboration across political, ethnic, and religious lines to uphold Ghana’s democratic values.

Mr. Akolgo encouraged participants to contribute to national progress by engaging in decision-making processes, promoting transparency, and supporting environmental conservation. He also commended them for their role in the electoral process and emphasised the need for unity, tolerance, and respect for the rule of law.

The engagements took place in Denugu, Zaari, and Kurago from 21st to 23rd January 2025, with school visits to Catholic JHS, D/A JHS, and Presby JHS from 28th to 30th January 2025.
