Cdd-Ghana facilitates Diplomatic meeting with NCCE

The management of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) on Friday, October 25, welcomed a foreign delegation facilitated by the Center for Democratic Development Ghana (CDD-Ghana) whose purpose was to learn about the work of the Commission, as well as gauge how they could embark on future collaborations.

The Delegation, bearing the name, ‘Shaping Futures Academy 2024’ is an African-European Network on development and sustainability financed by BMZ (Germany Federal Ministry for Economic Development and Cooperation).

A member of the delegation, Mr. Konan, during the introduction session, underscored that membership of the group is globally expanse, as currently they have members from Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, Zambia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, and many other countries across the various continents of the world.

Chairman of the NCCE who also doubled as head of the host Delegation, Ms. Kathleen Addy in her welcome note, expressed appreciation for their visit and zest to know about the Commission’s endeavors.

She highlighted the Mission and Vision of the Commission, stating that Integrity, Independence, and Presence are the core values NCCE is hinged on. She further took the foreign delegation through the programs and activities of the Commission, while indicating the various communication and advocacy strategies employed in ensuring that our messages arrive at the doorsteps of our target audience.

As the delegation from Shaping Futures Academy 2024 wondered about the possibility of NCCE bringing on board the Ghanaian community in the diaspora, Ms. Addy revealed that deliberations are ongoing to see to the materialization of such developments, adding that, the diaspora community also deserves to have their voices heard.

Representing the NCCE at the meeting were the Chairman, accompanied by her two deputies, Mr. Samuel Akuamoah (Deputy Chair, Operations) and Mr. Victor Brobbey Esq. (Deputy Chair, General Services). Also present were the Commission Secretary and all Line Directors at the Head Office of the Commission.
