BE CONFIDENT AND DISCIPLINED- NCCE URGES BASIC SCHOOL PUPILS

The Bodi District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Western North Region has visited Suiano ‘A’ Anglican Basic School as part of its activities to mark the Commission’s 2023 Annual Citizenship Week Celebration. The theme for this year’s celebration: “30 Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy and Building National Cohesion: The Role of the Ghanaian Child”.

Engaging the pupils, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Bodi District, Mr. Frederick T. Mensah Adunah who served as a resource person for the week celebration admonished the pupils to be self-disciplined. He encouraged them to use their time judiciously rather than hanging out at night and being ever present at funeral wake-keepings which has been a norm for most children in the district. He also entreated them to make their education a priority.

The Western North Regional Director of the Commission, Mr. Dramani Sam, urged the pupils to be responsible, respect the rights of all persons, be patriotic and refrain from doing acts detrimental to the welfare of other persons.
