The Akyemansa District Office of the NCCE has engaged artisans at Akim Chia (Dressmakers, Hairdressers, Food vendors, etc.) on the theme: “30 Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy: Building National Cohesion through Civic Education and Participation in Local Governance”, as part of activities marking the Annual Constitution Week celebration. Chief Field Officers; Mr. Emmanuel Siaw Twum and Mr. Jerry Kojo Oppong took turns to remind the gathering of 30 years of uninterrupted constitutional order and urged participants to live in peace and harmony with one another and to desist from acts that will mar the peace and tranquility of the country.

The Officers further urged the gathering to fully participate and turn out massively to exercise their franchise in the upcoming District-Level Elections as they have been doing during general elections. This, they noted is crucial for grassroots development and a good path to achieving true democracy as per Article 35(6) (d) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana.
