NCCE-SUNYANI ENGAGES FARMING COMMUNITIES ON COVID-19

The Sunyani Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the Information Services Department in a dawn broadcast, has sensitized farming communities within the Sunyani Municipality on how to stay safe and alert in this COVID-19 era. Emphasis was placed on stigmatization against COVID-19 patients and recovered patients.

Mr. Benjamin Kyere, the Sunyani Municipal Director of NCCE, entreated members of the community to abide by the directives issued by President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on wearing of face mask especially in public places, observe physical distancing and ensure the regular washing of hands with soap under running water.

The sensitization by the team also entreated citizens to frequently use alcohol-based hand sanitizer, cover mouth when coughing, and use tissue paper when sneezing. The team urged members of the community to immediately report to the nearest health facility when one feels unwell.

Communities visited included Kramokrom, Atuahenekrom, Yawsae, Kuffour camp, Adomako, Watchman, Brosankro, Nwawaasu and Benu Nkwanta.
