To move towards community peacebuilding, the Yilo Krobo office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Eastern region recently engaged women from the Apostolic Church Ghana at Djaba Road.
The focus was on instilling the importance of promoting peace within society. Elizabeth Tetteh, the Public Education Officer (PCEO), emphasized that peace enables individuals to carry out daily activities without fear, ensuring stability for children attending school. Stressing the significance of nonviolence, Tetteh urged women to actively contribute to sustaining Ghana's peace. Mr. Samuel Djinyame, the Peace and Conflict Officer (PFO), supported her in this endeavor.
The event also featured insights from Municipal Director Henrietta Glikpo and Ruth Awui, another PFO, emphasizing the role of the Divine Healers Church in promoting constitutional rule.
