The Chairman of NCCE, Ms. Josephine Nkrumah is calling on all Ghanaians to rally round the 1992 Constitution of Ghana. She said the 1992 Constitution must be a rallying place for all as it applies to everyone equally regardless of one’s background. Speaking to members of the Ghana National Fire Service as part of activities to commemorate the Commission’s 2021 Constitution Week celebration, Ms. Nkrumah said the 1992 Constitution is one document that unites us as a people and must be considered as a go-to document for a holistic national development.
As a nation, we are perceived to be highly polarized and that is not promoting national development. Ms. Nkrumah entreated members of the Ghana National Fire Service and charged all other members of other security services in Ghana to prioritize national unity and cohesion in their line of duty.
