POPE JONES CEC CLUB MEMBERS HAND OVER TO THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION

The Pope John Senior High School and Minor Seminary (POJOSS) has on Friday, September 8, 2023, organised a handing over ceremony for the newly elected executives of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Civic Education Club (CEC) in the school. The ceremony was to officially hand administration over to the newly appointed executives of the Club.

The occasion was graced by the New Juaben North Municipal Director (M.D) of the NCCE, Mr Ebenezer Acheampong along with some staff from the Municipal Office of the Commission. The Assistant Headmaster in charge of academics, Mr. Emmanuel Bejabeng, and the Club Patrons; Mr. Seth Ansah, and Mr. Michael Frimpong took turns to encourage the students to work hard and be up-to-date with the details of the 1992 Constitution so their rights are not violated.

They further urged the Club members to continue to be good and law-abiding students and respect our national values so they can be tagged as good citizens of Ghana. He also advised them not to be flouting school rules and regulations.

They emphasized the importance of being a Civic Club Member and also attested to the fact that the NCCE having such a club in the school has helped the students to acquire more knowledge and skills, and a deeper insight into the content of the 1992 Constitution.

The students also appreciated the efforts of the Directorate of the Municipality. Because of this, they awarded the Municipality with a Citation of Recognition which was received by Mr. Ebenezer Acheampong. He showed his gratitude to the school, the patrons of the club and its members, and the entire school’s population for the honour and urged them to continually support the work of the Commission.
