PARLIAMENT OF GHANA RECEIVES THE KRABOA-COALTAR PRESBYTERIAN SENIOR HIGH TECHNICAL SCHOOL CEC MEMBERS

The Ayensuano District Director of the NCCE, Nana Kwesi Boateng has led the Civic Education Club (CEC) members of the Kraboa-Coaltar Presbyterian Senior High Technical School to the Parliament House of the Republic of Ghana and the National Head Office of the Commission. The visit by the NCCE CEC members was to familiarize themselves with Parliamentary proceedings, interact with the Members of Parliament and understand the operation of the Commission.

The Member of Parliament for the Ayensuano Constituency; Honorable Teddy Nana Yaw Addi warmly welcomed the club members to the Parliament and expressed profound delight to the NCCE and the management of the school for organizing such a trip. He admonished the students to take their studies seriously, be patriotic and law-abiding to become responsible citizens of Ghana.

The NCCE Director of Administration, Mrs. Dora Hammond was elated to welcome the CEC members and took them through the mandate and operations describing the Commission as one of the Independent Governance Institutions provided by the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana and created by an act of Parliament. Mrs. Hammond implored them to take an interest in not only studying the provisions of the Constitution but understanding it, particularly at an early age. She entreated them to be respectful, obedient, and tolerant.
