The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) North Tongu Directorate has began the Annual Constitution Week programmes. Constitution Week is an NCCE flagship programme that has been celebrated since 2001.
The celebration this year is hinged on the theme of the year “Together we can build Ghana, so get involved”. Within this period, Ghanaians are educated about events leading to the Fourth Republic beginning from 28th April, 1992 where a referendum was held.
The opportunity was taken to educate people of Aveyime, Battor and Mepe on their responsibilities and the Limited Voter Registration exercise.
The identifiable groups were Okada riders, traders in the markets and some churches in Battor and Aveyime.
The officers present were Mr. Daniel Glikpo the District Director, Mr. Mawufemor Wugah, Mr. Lawson Dugbenu, and Miss Diana Doamekpor.
