NCCE Thanks Staff for their Resilience

The Chairman of the NCCE, Ms. Josephine Nkrumah, has commended the staff of the Commission for their commitment, courage, and resilience they exhibited in carrying out public education during the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

Although the pandemic has changed the world and shook the core of our country, she acknowledged the readiness of the staff to go the extra mile and their immense work that contributed to Ghana’s effort in managing the pandemic.

She made the remarks during the opening of the End of Year Review Meeting of the Commission in Kumasi, which was re-echoed at the Head Office during a brief staff durbar.

“For your tireless efforts working day and night in the face of the challenges, you have done well by helping the Commission play a critical role in preventing and stemming the spread of COVID-19”, she said.

The bold decision we took as a Commission to fight the pandemic to meet the expectation of Ghanaians, is commendable.

“2020 has brought many challenges, but if you are alive and well, and you have what it takes to fight for another day, then we should be very grateful and remember to count our blessings because God has been true and faithful to us” she stated.

Similarly, Mr. Samuel Asare Akuamoah, Deputy Chairman, Operation also urged the staff to take care of themselves during the festivities and observe the COVID-19 Protocols.

The Annual Review Meeting in Kumasi as part of stock-taking of the Commission’s activities throughout the year under review, which also serves as the launchpad for planning for the new year.

The four-day intensive meeting brought together Commission Members including the Chairman and her two deputies, the Commission Secretary, as well as all line Directors and Regional Directors and their deputies.
