NCCE SEKYERE SOUTH INTENSIFIES PUBLIC AND CIVIC EDUCATION ON SIM CARD REGISTRATION

The Sekyere South District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Mr. Evans Nunoo has encouraged citizens who didn’t register their SIM cards yet to do well and get their SIM cards registered to avoid any inconvenience and potential disruption in service after September 30. Mr. Nunoo reminded Ghanaians that, all Data SIMS, that is SIMs in devices such as MiFis, routers, trackers, etc. must also be registered.

Speaking on Osranee FM At Agona, Ashanti Region, Mr. Nunoo, said Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) are still continuing with SIM registration at their customer care centres and through agents who have been deployed across the country. He stated that it was important for everybody to take part of this exercise to minimize fraudulent and criminal acts in the country.

The audience thanked the Commission for the reminder and appealed to the National Identification Authority to make the cards readily available to all in order to facilitate the registration process.
