The NCCE joins the world today to observe United Nations Day. This year marks the 73rd anniversary of the UN Charter’s entry into force and celebrates the achievements of the UN since its establishment in 1945.
The Day is celebrated annually on the 24th of October to strengthen nations to create livelihood opportunities for their people. This year’s theme is “Making UN Relevant To All People: Global Leadership And Shared Responsibilities For Peaceful, Equitable And Sustainable Societies”. Deducing from this year's theme, making UN relevant, globally, violent conflicts, poverty, hunger, diseases, lack of access to quality education, gender inequality, would be a thing of the past if UN leaders and countries prioritise the needs of their citizens.. The NCCE, on this day, commends the UN for its contribution towards the political and socio-economic development aspirations of Ghana.
