NCCE Ga West Educates Public on Digital Safety and Responsible Social Media Use.

The Ga West Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) organized a civic education engagement on Sunday, 17th May 2026, at a church auditorium to educate citizens on responsible digital behavior and online safety.

The engagement focused on key issues affecting social media users, particularly the youth, including misinformation, disinformation, cybercrime, digital fraud, and online abuse.

Resource Person, Mr. Joseph Madjoub Afedzi, assisted by Mrs. Evelyn Aniakwa, educated participants on the need to verify information before sharing, remain vigilant online, and use social media responsibly to avoid falling victim to cyber-related crimes.

Participants were encouraged to become responsible digital citizens by promoting truthful information and safe online practices within their communities.

The NCCE Ga West Municipal Office further urged all Ghanaians, especially young people, to help create a safer and more responsible digital environment for everyone.
