As part of the efforts to create awareness in our jurisdiction, the Office met with nursing mothers in Ampedwee Electoral Area in Kenyasi. The meeting discussed the need for nursing mothers to be cautious of the current environmental changes accompanied by heat, dust, and air pollution which are not friendly to nursing mothers and their babies concerning their health.
Rev. Robert Collins Annam, the NCCE Director, and Mr Edward Samwen from the Public Health Department took turns to address the mothers.
Mothers were equally advised to nurture their babies who will become leaders of tomorrow as national assets whose health and upbringing must not be compromised. Rev. Annam said it is the responsibility of parents to nurture children in terms of character, knowledge, and morality.
The health expert, Mr Samwen advised parents to strictly go by health protocols given by his outfit. Nursing mothers asked many questions and were given satisfactory responses by the team. Mr. Samwen commended NCCE for coming to meet Nursing mothers at the Weighing Centre.
