NCCE Chairperson, Ms. Kathleen Addy, successfully closed the 2024 Ghana Urban Forum (GUF) with gratitude and optimism. Serving as the chairperson for this impactful event, she expressed her heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their unwavering commitment to addressing urban development challenges and acknowledged the significance of their contributions. Over the course of two days, a wealth of knowledge was shared, inspiring Ms. Kathleen Addy to emphasize the need for continuous dialogue, collaboration, and actionable solutions.
She passionately encouraged ongoing partnerships between sectors, underscoring the importance of citizen impact and sustainable practices in urbanization. Recognizing the value of collective efforts, she called for translating the discussions held during the forum into meaningful actions that will bring about positive change.
The 2024 GUF, organized by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development (MLGDRD), adopted the theme "Nurturing Roots, Growing Futures: Combining Policies and Partnerships for Urban Resilience and Transformation." This theme truly reflects the essence of the forum and its aim to foster urban resilience and transformation through effective policy-making and collaborative partnerships.
