NCCE' AT AGOTIME-ZIOPE LAUNCHES 2023 CITIZENSHIP WEEK

The Agotime-Ziope District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education has launched this year's Citizenship Week celebration in the district. The launch was attended by more than one thousand and five hundred pupils with teachers selected from nineteen (19) basic schools in the district. The event was a collaborative launch where World Vision Ghana also used the platform to launch its, 'End Child Marriage Campaign.

The District Director of NCCE, Mr. Christian Ahiawodzi, attributed the country's continued peace and democratic stability to civic education efforts by the NCCE over the years. He said the Commission will continue to reinforce civic values and reorient the attitudes of Ghanaians towards playing positive roles in our democratic journey; especially sustaining it.

Speaking on the theme; "30 Years of Consolidating Constitutional Democracy and Building National Cohesion: The Role of the Ghanaian Child', a Youth Leader, Mr. Joe Soglo charged the pupils to be disciplined and embrace Ghanaian values such as hard work, respect, responsibility, tolerance, truthfulness, patriotism and nationalism and make these values their guiding principles.
