In a peaceful demonstration of unity, the Berekum East Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), in collaboration with the Church of Pentecost, held an Inter-Faith Peace Walk to promote harmony in the lead-up to the 2024 general elections. The walk saw participants from diverse backgrounds, all advocating for a peaceful electoral process.
Addressing the gathering, Apostle Robert Kwabena Andoh, Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, urged participants to avoid actions that could endanger Ghana's hard-won peace. He warned against politics of insults, inflammatory language, and the spread of misinformation, noting that such behaviours can fuel unrest. Apostle Andoh called on all Ghanaians, especially the youth, to use this election period to foster unity and responsible discourse. The event reflects NCCE's commitment to partnering with religious groups to reinforce the message of peace across communities.
