The Ahafo Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Mr. Eric Adu Esq. has called for active citizen participation in the wake of the December 7 Polls.
He advanced this advocacy in an interaction with student trainees of the Global Institute of Mining and Safety at Afrisipakrom in the Tano North Municipality.
In his address, Lawyer Adu opined that every citizen ought to show keen interest in who becomes the leader of the country, adding, “one way of demonstrating that is by exercising your franchise in the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections”.
He sent out a plea to the over hundred (100) participants to refrain from being hired and used as weapons of destruction, and urged them to endeavour to convey this message to their families, stating that “together, we can all contribute to building the Ghana we yearn for”.
Meanwhile, the trainees expressed gratitude to the staff of the Regional Office for such insights and pledged to take up their civic responsibilities with all the seriousness it requires.
