The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has partnered the Church of Pentecost to increase awareness of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19 among the populace to help contain the spread of the virus.

Using cinema vans provided by the Church of Pentecost, NCCE staff educated citizens across the country on what COVID-19 is, the symptoms and preventive measures to combat the spread of the disease amongst others.


Western Region

Public sensitization on COVID-19 at Esipong, Ngyiresia, Albert Bosomtwi-Sam Fishing Habour, European Town, Sekondi Market, Asemsiwdo and Ekoase.

Education on the coronavirus in the Shama district. Communities reached so far are Awuna beach, Bronikrom, Bosomdo, Krobo, Fawomanye, Beposo Nkran.

The NCCE/CoP team for public education on COVID-19 lead by the Adaklu District Director of the NCCE, Mr. Francis Asamani has so far covered 11 communities, 7 border communities (Nyive, Atikpui, Shia, Klave, Hoe, Dodome Awiaso and Honuta) and 4 non-border communities (Taviefe Deme, Akoefe, Tanyigbe and Tokokoe communities, all in the Ho Municipality).
