The Fanteakwa South District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) at Osino in the Eastern Region of Ghana, has engaged the citizens of the district during the ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise at the District Office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
This exercise forms part of the Commission's thematic areas under voter education which is aimed at sensitizing people on the requirements laid down by the Electoral Commission and also to cushion them against all forms of intimidation and violence.
Mr. Joseph Wiafe Boateng; a Civic Education Officer (CEO) further interacted with the political party representatives present at the centre to follow all the needed procedures arranged by the EC in order to maintain peace, and a smooth and transparent system throughout the entire exercise.
He again educated the applicants on the consequences they would face if they were apprehended demonstrating any action contrary to the principles or code of conduct detailed by the EC. At the end of the exercise that day, Mr Wiafe Boateng applauded all persons who were available for the exercise for their good conduct and also for such an encouraging turnout on the first day of the exercise.
