As Ghana’s general election approaches, the Builsa North Municipality Election Security Task Force, led by the Municipal Police Command and supported by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), engaged the Chief of Chuchuliga and his elders in a critical dialogue.
The engagement focused on addressing key issues threatening electoral integrity, including vote-buying, political tolerance, and the spread of fake information. The Task Force emphasised the importance of rejecting undue political influence through monetary or material inducements, urging the community to prioritise credible leadership for the nation’s progress.
Additionally, the dialogue highlighted the need for political tolerance, encouraging community members to foster unity despite differing political affiliations. The team also raised awareness of the dangers posed by fake information, stressing the need for vigilance and fact-checking to avoid misinformation that could disrupt peaceful elections.
This collaborative effort reflects a commitment to ensuring free, fair, and peaceful elections in the Builsa North Municipality.
