The Techiman North District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has visited some schools in the district to commemorate this year’s Annual Citizenship Week Celebration. The theme for the celebration is “30 Years of Constitutional Democracy and Building National Cohesion: The Role of the Ghanaian Child”.
Civic Educators in the District Office visited Tuobodom Presbyterian School, Seventh Day Adventist School and Royal Pioneers Junior High School. Nana Kwadwo Mensah, the Atipimhene of Tanoso Traditional Council; a retired Municipal Director of NCCE, Techiman resourced the program. He entreated the pupils to put Ghana first, respect the views and rights of others, and be patriotic, tolerant and honest in every aspect of their lives.
The Principal Civic Education Officer (PCEO) Seidu Mohammed reminded the pupils of their responsibilities as agents of change and urged them to learn and become great future leaders who can help build a better democratic Ghana.
