The National Commission for Civic Education has met with the Police Management Board to discuss the Commission’s voter education activities with the Service. Chairman of NCCE, Ms. Nkrumah led the delegation from the Commission. NCCE believes the Ghana Police Service is a key stakeholder in this year’s Presidential and Parliamentary Elections hence the engagement. The discussion centered on intensifying voter education and ensuring peace before, during, and after the December 7 elections.

The Director-General in charge of Administration at the Ghana Police Service, COP Dr. George Akuffo Dampare who led the team from his side assured the public of their commitment to providing adequate security for citizens during the 2020 polls. He hinted that the Service will closely work with the NCCE to intensify voter education nationwide.
