They are not only reliable and steadfast drivers behind the wheels but chauffeurs with a difference. Besides driving the staff to and fro programmes, Mr. Collins Gyamfi, Driver with the Ga East NCCE Office, Mr. Abdul R. Iddrisu, Driver of one of the Deputy Chairmen at the NCCE and Mr. Sumaila Cudjoe Anim, Driver with the Commission, all got involved in sensitising the public on the COVID-19 safely protocols at Agbogbloshie.
They showed their mettle and dexterity not only at driving staff of the Commission to the venue but willingly added their voice to public education efforts by Ms. Kathleen Addy, Deputy Chairman of NCCE, and other staff of the Commission at Agbogbloshie last Saturday.
This was during the joint collaboration efforts between the NCCE and the Rotary Club to distribute facemask to residents and market women living and operating around the place.
Besides announcing the programme and inviting people to get seated prior to the commencement of the event, they were practically involved in aiding the security to direct the women who trouped to the venue to observe the social distance and be orderly while waiting for their turn to collect the facemask.
To facilitate the COVID-19 campaign, Mr. Iddrisu stepped in to support Mr. Gabriel Bekoe Ofori, Ashiedu Keteke Sub-Metro NCCE Officer and Madam Romary Owusu Buahin in sensitising the public on the Safety protocols.
Other members of the NCCE present at programme included Mr. Samuel Lamptey, Head of the Audio-visual Unit of the Communications and Corporate Affairs Department at the NCCE Headquarters.
