NCCE MARKS ANNUAL CONSTITUTION WEEK

The Annual Constitution Week Celebration is here again. The Weeklong Celebration is one of the flagship programmes of the Commission instituted to commemorate the country’s return to constitutional democratic rule after many years of military adventurism in governance. The NCCE’s theme for 2019 is “Ghana, One People: Our Values, Our Sovereignty in Participatory Democracy.” The Commission is however, celebrating the Constitution Week with the sub theme ‘The Threat of Vigilantism to Our Democracy and Sovereignty: The Role of the Security Services’.

This year five (5) security services in Accra will be engaged as part of the celebration to deliberate on the threat of Vigilantism to our democracy and how to uproot this cancer in our body politic. The 2019 celebration is scheduled to take place starting Tuesday, 14th May 2019 to Thursday, 23rd May 2019. These security services are:

  •  Ghana Police Service
  • Ghana Immigration Service
  • Ghana Armed Forces
  • Ghana National Fire Service
  • Ghana Prisons Service.
