The Judiciary remains a critical partner to the NCCE in the Commission's bid to fulfill its constitutional mandate. The two institutions have a long standing relationship geared towards promoting and sustaining Ghana's democracy and with a common purpose to fight the canker of corruption which is eating deep into the very fabric of our society. In order to realise this mandate and ensure a cordial working relationship, the Chairman of the National Commission for Civic Education, Ms. Josephine Nkrumah and members of the Commission have paid a courtesy call on the new Chief Justice, Ms. Sophia Akuffo to discuss issues of common interest,  among others that could promote and ensure the implementation of the mandate of the two bodies. Education on the provisions of the 1992 Constitution is a key function of the NCCE. The meeting in line with this function, spoke about the need to train NCCE staff on Supreme Court decisions that have a bearing on the interpretation of the 1992 Constitution.
